3 more days until Christmas Break!

It is snowing here, so we got let out of school early today! I am so happy for break in 3 days. At my school, we don't have exams until after break... I kind of wish that we had our exams before break, because I am afraid that I am going to forget everything that we have learned. We are going to the Caribbean for break so I guess that I will be studying on the beach... which is better then at home!

I am really excited for Christmas! My aunt is coming down for a week before we go. This year was really weird though, because my brother and I didn't ask for anything or make a list of anything that we wanted for Christmas. I am really excited to see what my parents and "Santa" get us.

I have a test or quiz everyday this week, so that will not be very fun. We are suppose to get freezing rain tonight, so I am hoping that maybe, if we are lucky, there will be no school tomorrow, or at least a delay!

Dog Dilemma

As you probably know, my family went away over Thanksgiving Break. We had a great Thanksgiving with our  family, and stuffed our faces with food. But on "Black Friday" my aunt, my cousin, and I were going to go shopping, until we got a phone call from the lady that was taking care of our dog. She told us that my little four pound Yorkshire Terrier, Dublin, had been attacked by one of her relatives dogs. We got in the car and we rushed home to be with her. She has two large wounds on her shoulders, and she has many bruises. For what she went through, she is doing great... the bruises are going away and she is running around and jumping on things. I have to say though, getting that phone call that she had been attacked could have been the scariest moment of my life!

In school... I have had a lot of tests in the last week, so with soccer training and studying I have had no free time at all. I think that I did well on all of the tests, but I always hate how it takes so long to get the tests back that you start to second guess your answers. Luckily, I only had one soccer game this weekend, and almost no homework!

Happy Thanksgiving

For the next few days I will be at my dad's brother's house, and I don't think that I will have access to a computer so I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! The past two days went by in a flash. Monday we got out at 1:30 for parent teacher meetings, and today all of our classes were shortened because of a morning prayer service.

School has been going good... I am really nervous for the exams that are coming up after Christmas Break. I know that it is a long way away but the thought still stresses me out.

Also, my English teacher asked me if I would join the school newspaper. I said that I would write for the paper and learn about the layout of the paper. Since the senior that does all the layouts will be graduating next year, I hope to be able to step up and fill her shoes.

Soccer is good as well, but I am looking forward to the 3 day break. My legs are sore, bruised, and tired from all of my games and speed training. As much as I love soccer, it is really hard on your body.

Twilight!

This weekend has been really fun! I didn't have school yesterday, so on Thursday night me and  6 other people from my school went to see Twilight at midnight.  I thought that it was really good... I found that a lot of people didn't really like it. I still think that the book was better, but it was really cool to see how they filmed it and all of the action stuff.

There hasn't really been anything new at school... I have had a few really hard tests in the past week or so, but they have all gone well, and I got an A+ in bowling for gym so it is all good! As I said before, we got the day off on Friday, and we get out early on Monday, so only like 1 and a half days until Thanksgiving Break!
Unfortunately, I have a lot of tests on Tuesday...

Thank God It's Friday!

This week feels like it has been going on forever...my week at school has be hectic!  Yesterday I had a Christian Awareness test, and it was pretty hard! Today was the worst though, I had big Spanish and Biology  tests. I spent all of last night studying for the two tests. I spent sooo much time on Spanish. I spent over two and a half hours on all the vocab and people that I had to memorize! I spent about an hour on Biology, but I am wishing that I would have spent more time. I think that I got most of the test right, but there where a few questions that were pretty tricky... I am just hoping that I got a good grade on those three tests...

Also, today I had gym. haha I think that I am failing gym right now! We have "skills tests," and apparently I am not meant to be a professional bowler! Yes, we are doing bowling... it sounds easy, but the ball is made of rubber and it is really light, and there are plastic pins across the gym floor. We have to get a 46 bowling 4 frames to get an A! Luckily, our gym teacher lets us redo it as many times as we want... hopefully I will start to do better!

Starting New

We just started the second quarter of school, and I can already tell that it is going to be harder than the first! The teachers are all warning us that they are going to start to pick up the pace and that we are going to have to do a lot more studying at home... I am not looking forward to that!

I am kind of excited to get my report card... I think I know my grades in almost all of my classes, but still... it means that I am 1/16 of the way through high school! It is crazy that freshman year is already 25% done. It is all going by really fast.

This week I am jam-packed with training and soccer! Last weekend my team ended up going 2-2 in the tournament, which wasn't too bad. This week I have speed training twice, Precision Soccer Academy once, team training once, and two futsal games (soccer on a basketball court... the ball is smaller and heavier... the ball moves around really fast, and it is great for your foot skills). This weekend I have Olympic Development tryouts. Also, my old school is in the football playoffs so I am going to the game Saturday with my little brother (who still goes there). Also, if my week wasn't full enough, I have 3 friendlies/scrimmages on Sunday!!

I have been trying to get my homework done at school, and have been trying to get the rest done when I get home before soccer! But, I am keeping up!

Happy Halloween!

Honestly, I was really excited for Halloween! Ha It probably sounds funny because I am 15... but one girl in our grade threw a huge party with like 70 people! Everyone was all dressed up... I was a cow girl and I have to say it was really fun going shopping for my outfit!

Right now, I'm in a hotel for my soccer tournament. Unfortunately, we lost our two games yesterday : ( but we still had a lot of fun... we have a ton of new girls on our team so we are still trying to get used to playing together. After the games our whole team went out to dinner and then a bunch of us went to see High School Musical 3. We have two more games this afternoon so I am hoping for a better outcome than yesterday... wish me luck!

Tests, quizzes, tests, quizzes... It Never Ends!

This week is the end of the quarter... only 3 more days to go! I can't wait for all the stress to get off of my shoulders. I have already turned in all of my quarter projects. All I have left is a Biology test, Biology lab quiz, Short Story test, and a vocab quiz!

Hmmm... my life is pretty boring right now. I have club soccer now and we get to go and stay at a hotel for a tournament this weekend and I am really excited for that! Also, I have been doing speed training which makes me really sore but I hope that I will be a lot faster and stronger for next years soccer season.

This past weekend was a blast! On Saturday I got to go watch the two biggest all-boys schools in our areas football game. Almost all the girls from my school where there! Then, after the game there was a huge dance in their gym and it was really cool to hang out with all of the new friends that I have made!

Sick...

I am not feeling that well lately... my stomach hurts and my head hurts! It is probably do to all of the end of quarter stress, lack of sleep, and all of the speed workouts that I have been doing. I have a Biology quiz tomorrow and an oral Spanish test... great!

Our school has an online program that lets you see your grades. It is really nice to be able to see what you have in the class, so that you know how well you need to do on your other assignments to make-up for your "oops" grades! It works perfectly for all of my classes except... Spanish!! I love learning foreign language but I never know what I have in that class, so I am constantly worried about my grade! For some reason her computer is messed-up and we can't see the grades on the website.

I am hoping that I will feel better so that I can go to school tomorrow... because as much as I would love a day off, having to make-up all the work is never fun.

End of Quarter MADNESS!

It is almost the end of the quarter and the teachers are starting to pile on the work! The worst part is that the projects are worth 10% of our grade. I am trying to get as much work done as possible right when I get the projects... I'm hoping that my jump start on the projects will help me not be as stressed out at the end!

The projects haven't been to hard though... for Geometry we have to make line designs, for Biology a "element baby book." etc... I am hoping that the tests will not be too hard... wishful thinking...

But today in Spanish we got pen pals from Argentina! As some of you may know Spanish II isn't one of my favorite classes... but I think that the chance to practice my Spanish with someone my age who actually speaks the language would be fun! 

Now that school soccer is over, I have started speed training. My legs are pretty sore, but hopefully it will help me with tryouts next year. Also, my club soccer team is starting Thursday! So I have a feeling that I'm going to be really busy.
