The End of a Season

As the school year comes to an end, so does soccer. On Thursday, we hosted our first and final playoff game of the season. At the beginning of the game our team looked really weak and we began the second half with a score of 0-2. Thanks to our coaches encouraging words at halftime, we tied it up 2-2. Our rivals came back and scored another goal, making it 3-2. During the last 33 seconds, the opposing team had a handball in their box and we ended up getting a penalty kick. Unfortunately, the kick hit the right post and we didn't get the goal. After the game our coach got a little teary and said we played with our hearts and congratulated us for getting that far. Tuesday, the 15th, we will have our soccer banquet and each player will be recognized for what they have done this season.

The rest of the week I felt lost. I have nothing taking up my afternoons and weekends anymore and to tell you the truth, it is kind of relaxing. But instead of becoming lazy, I have decided to become a member of a local gym. Soon school will be out and I will be busy running, swimming, and going to camp.

It is countdown to exam time. We will start our review in one week and I am not looking forward to it. This weekend will be my last weekend of freedom. I will be attending a graduation party and the high school crawfish boil. Then, I will return home, face reality, and STUDY!
