Orlando was a blast! Universal Studios had rides galore and we went on plenty of them. My favorite was Dudley Dooright's Ripshaw Falls water ride. You hop aboard a log boat that goes up many hills and down many drops. Of course, the best part of the ride is at the end. The boat travels up a very steep hill and then makes a huge drop that gets everyone soaking wet. It was so much fun! We had a great time at the park, but it's also good to get back home.
Today, I am off to summer camp for a week. I have been going to camp for eight years and it's practically my "home away from home". Whenever possible, I sign up for multiple sessions and spend as many weeks as possible at camp. Eight cabins, a chapel, a ropes course, Wilson Hall (where we eat), a pavilion with basketball goals, a swimming pool, an arts and crafts building, and the beach with kayaks, canoes, and sailboats make up my wonderful camp. The camp is owned by the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast. We go to chapel everyday and have Eucharist on the first and last days of the week. Camp is a place to make new friendships, renew old friendships, and get in touch with God. Being at this beautiful camp on the bay is the highlight of my summer each and every year.
Until next time......... Hope everyone is having a great beginning to their summer break!!
