So much to do, so little time

The past few days have been crazy at school... I had 3 tests on one day and they were in the hardest subjects! I had a Biology Honors test, Geometry Honors test, and a Spanish II test. Just to make the studying more stressful, we had an away soccer game the night before and I got home pretty late.

I am really worried about the class Spanish II... I have been taking Spanish for the past 7 or 8 years, but my new school has a different book than my grade school so it is pretty confusing. My teacher spends the whole time in class talking in Spanish, so sometimes she's hard to keep up with.

I have been talking with the freshman guidance counselor, and she has helped me out a lot. As a freshman, I highly suggest you get to know the guidance counselor because he/she can help you out a ton!

Overall I think that I did well on my 3 tests... or I hope so...

No Power!

This week a huge windstorm came through our area. We live on a golf course and huge trees were falling all over. The power went out Sunday around 12 and it just came back! It was crazy having almost 3 days without power! We had to try to cook everything on the gas stove. Also, at night it would be pitch black and we would have to light a ton of candles to be able to see anything. My family would surround an area with candles and play cards because we couldn't watch the TV or get on the computer.

But having the power out also meant that we got 2 days off of school! My little brother is extremely lucky and has got to stay home all week! But I'm back at school now... It was kind of hard getting back into school after the long break but everything is going well.

High School!!

Please welcome our new Inside Grade 9 blogger, Four2Go!

The first day that I walked in to school I could hardly believe that I was finally in high school! It seemed like I had been waiting forever! I switched to a new school for high school so everything was totally new. I was so glad that I was on the soccer team so that there were many familiar faces. We have the biggest class at our school, almost 200. It doesn't seem like much, but it's double the size of my old school. If you have an opportunity to meet to new people through a school activity I strongly suggest it! I love the new friends that I have made on the soccer team and it helps to have someone I know in all my classes.

One thing that I did not like about the big switch to high school was the increase in homework! I'm taking a bunch of hard courses and the homework starts to pile up. It's tough to get it all done with soccer practice everyday, but playing on the soccer team is worth it.

I'm so excited for the year ahead and all the new friends that I will make!
