Tests, quizzes, tests, quizzes... It Never Ends!

This week is the end of the quarter... only 3 more days to go! I can't wait for all the stress to get off of my shoulders. I have already turned in all of my quarter projects. All I have left is a Biology test, Biology lab quiz, Short Story test, and a vocab quiz!

Hmmm... my life is pretty boring right now. I have club soccer now and we get to go and stay at a hotel for a tournament this weekend and I am really excited for that! Also, I have been doing speed training which makes me really sore but I hope that I will be a lot faster and stronger for next years soccer season.

This past weekend was a blast! On Saturday I got to go watch the two biggest all-boys schools in our areas football game. Almost all the girls from my school where there! Then, after the game there was a huge dance in their gym and it was really cool to hang out with all of the new friends that I have made!

Sick...

I am not feeling that well lately... my stomach hurts and my head hurts! It is probably do to all of the end of quarter stress, lack of sleep, and all of the speed workouts that I have been doing. I have a Biology quiz tomorrow and an oral Spanish test... great!

Our school has an online program that lets you see your grades. It is really nice to be able to see what you have in the class, so that you know how well you need to do on your other assignments to make-up for your "oops" grades! It works perfectly for all of my classes except... Spanish!! I love learning foreign language but I never know what I have in that class, so I am constantly worried about my grade! For some reason her computer is messed-up and we can't see the grades on the website.

I am hoping that I will feel better so that I can go to school tomorrow... because as much as I would love a day off, having to make-up all the work is never fun.

End of Quarter MADNESS!

It is almost the end of the quarter and the teachers are starting to pile on the work! The worst part is that the projects are worth 10% of our grade. I am trying to get as much work done as possible right when I get the projects... I'm hoping that my jump start on the projects will help me not be as stressed out at the end!

The projects haven't been to hard though... for Geometry we have to make line designs, for Biology a "element baby book." etc... I am hoping that the tests will not be too hard... wishful thinking...

But today in Spanish we got pen pals from Argentina! As some of you may know Spanish II isn't one of my favorite classes... but I think that the chance to practice my Spanish with someone my age who actually speaks the language would be fun! 

Now that school soccer is over, I have started speed training. My legs are pretty sore, but hopefully it will help me with tryouts next year. Also, my club soccer team is starting Thursday! So I have a feeling that I'm going to be really busy.

Happy Birthday

Yesterday was my 15th birthday! And weird enough, it was also my brother's 11th birthday!

Also, we didn't have that many classes because the sophomores and juniors had to take the PSAT. So that was a great birthday present!

Unfortunately, I now have a test in Geometry tomorrow, a quiz in Spanish, and a Biology quiz.  It is getting closer and closer to the end of the quarter, and our teachers are starting to hand out our quarter projects... and the work is getting harder and harder in all of our classes!

I need to go study for my tests tomorrow... wish me luck!

Soccer's Over :(

This season of soccer has been one of the best things that ever happened to me. I met a ton of new people that are some of best friends now!

Our record wasn't quite as good as it should of been... we gave up a ton of close games unfortunately...

But the season is over now and I'm going to miss practice everyday after school, but club soccer starts soon so that is good.

Freshman Initiation Week is over now so I can go back to just wearing my uniform to school instead of dressing up as random animals! The seniors this year were actually really nice and they didn't really haze us too much... but it wasn't as fun because of that!

Freshman Initiation Week

Freshman Initiation Week is a crazy tradition at my school... it's the seniors way of "welcoming" us to the new school. What is Freshman Initiation Week? Well... my dad refers to it as hazing the freshman. Monday was cat day... the freshman had to dress up like cats. I felt pretty stupid walking around school with cat ears and a cat tail while all of the upperclassmen laugh at you! Then today was bird day. I had a huge feather boa and bright pink tights to match it. Even though all of us feel ridiculous... it's pretty fun. There were feathers all over the freshman hallway. It is especially weird in my advanced sophomore classes where I'm one of the only freshman!

But, tomorrow is dog day so I have to finish my outfit and "bake the seniors treats"

Craziness !!

The past few days have been CRAZY!! First, I went back to my old school's homecoming dance Saturday. It was really fun to be able to see all of my old friends. I have had 4 soccer games in the past 5 days. It has been crazy with homework and the soccer tournament!

I am doing well in school right now, and despite the craziness I have really good grades right now... I am just hoping that I can keep them up through the rest of the semester.

Spanish II is going better now. I have been studying like crazy for that class trying to make sure that I keep my grades up in the class. I have found that if I try to to a little bit every night then I am able to stay with the class better... and as a result I have gotten 100% on the last two quizzes!!
