Snow Day x3!!

Today was our 3rd snow day in a row! It is crazy because we almost never have BIG snow and ice storms. We have about 6-7 inches of snow which is a pretty big deal here! It has been really nice to have the days off though... I thought that we would have to go back to school for sure today, but it is really nice to wake up and find out that you have no school!

I got my semester report card and I was super excited! I got all A's and all A's on my exam... so I can't ask for anything better than that! I was really excited because of all of the work that I have put in this semester and being able to have such awesome results. There are a lot of things that I learned from taking exams for the first time. I picked a lot of little things that I can do to make studying easier next time around. I am putting all of my Health and English vocabulary on note cards as soon as I get them... let's just say that making 180 English vocabulary cards wasn't the highlight of my studying :)

It is starting to snow again right now so I am hoping that we may get at least a delay...

Father Daughter Dance!!

First of all, I got back all of my exams!! I was so happy with my results. I actually ended up with all A's on them so that was really exciting.

Yesterday night was the Father Daughter Dance at my school. It sounds like it would not be fun... but it was a BLAST! I went out to dinner with some of my friends and their dads. When we got to the dance, it was packed. There were so many people that came. The band was pretty good too. It was a lot of oldies songs but they were still good! It was soooo funny to watch all of the dads dance. They were pretty much out there dancing the whole time. We got home really late and my friend slept over so I was exhausted today, but the dance was awesome, so it was worth it!

Our report cards are coming out pretty soon, so I am really excited to see all of my grades. Part of me can't believe that is has already been one semester, but the other half of me feels like school should be out for the summer! One of the things that I really like about my school is that we have classes with different people everyday. Its really confusing at first because you may have English at the beginning of one day and at the end of the day the next day... I know it is really confusing... also I may have a English with you today and then I will have it with totally different people the next day! Anyway, at the beginning of the semester you get to see which friends are in what class on what day. In a way, it feels like the beginning of school all over again. Also, I don't have tech anymore, now I have health class. Once you get past the confusing part, our schedules are AMAZING!

Free At Last!

I finished my exams!! I was so happy when the last final was over... I have never been so happy to finish a test in my entire life!

Anyway, Exams actually went pretty well... I hope. I am not going to lie, I was completely stressed out before they started. As a freshman, I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I stepped into my exam room on Tuesday. I would have had hated to been around me this last week, I must have been a serious mess :) But I am thinking that all of the studying paid off, because when I was actually taking the tests they weren't really all that hard. Actually, they were surprisingly easy compared to what I was imagining.  I guess we'll just have to see how the results are...

This weekend, a lot of my family is in town so that will be pretty fun! My aunt is having a birthday party so it is nice to see everyone. Plus, all of the girls got to go out to lunch and get our nails done which is never a bad thing!

I also had a soccer game at 7 in the morning today. You can imagine how excited I was to get out of bed at 6 on a Saturday morning! But don't feel too bad, because when I got home I just got right back into bed and watched a movie.

Studying, studying, and more studying...

Well, this weekend has been pretty fun... all I have pretty much been doing is studying for exams. I feel like I have been studying for forever but there is always one more thing that I need to study! I can't wait for them to just be over... at this point, I am actually kind of looking forward to just actually taking the tests. I think that once I take them it will just be a huge weight off of my shoulders.

Also, I am looking forward to having a half day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Because I don't have any overlapping exams, I don't have to go to school on Friday so at least I get a 4 day weekend after all of that hard work. (Presidents Day is the next Monday)

Other than studying... I have just had a couple soccer commitments, but that's really all.  Nothing really too exciting. I am looking forward to next week when I have some family coming into town and I can go hang out with my friends instead of study.

But for now, I need to get back to my studying!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Exams...

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! It was awesome to have a break from all of all the sports and school. Sorry I haven't written lately, but my family and I went away on vacation over the break. It was really really warm and like I said before, a really much need break!

But now back to reality... Exams start next Tuesday!
The thing that stinks about having exams after break is that you forget a bunch over break, and this week all of my teachers are trying to cram in that one last lesson. So, not only do I have to study for exams, I also need to study for all of the tests and quizzes that I have Friday and Monday. I think that it is really crazy to stuff it all in at the end... but what are you going to do?
I have been studying non-stop. Because they are my first high school exams I am pretty nervous about the tests...

It is snowing here right now, so maybe if I'm lucky we'll get a snow day tomorrow (or maybe a delay)!
