And Then There Were None

So now all of my friends are at college. Last Wednesday we had a nice little dinner with our parents and when it was over the goodbyes were said and we all left. On Thursday one friend left for college in an awesome, tropical location and then on Friday the rest of my friends left for a big state university.

So now I'm here alone.

Well, to be honest that's not entirely accurate; I have a couple of friends who are still here. But that core group that I've known since kindergarten is gone forever! It's really strange. I'm not totally shaken up by it, and actually it's more of an "I'm bored" feeling than anything else. I'm not really the sentimental type so I guess it's a little easier for me. And also, I'm going up to visit some of them for the weekend so it's all good.

As for what I'm doing now, for the past few days I have been splitting my time between playing Super Smash Brothers Melee and watching movies and documentaries. So far I've seen An Inconvenient Truth, Sicko, Who Killed the Electric Car, and Maxed Out. And I also saw this movie called Perfume: The Story of a Murderer which was pretty awesome. It's about a guy in 18th century France who is born with an overdeveloped olfactory sense (sense of smell for you non-anatomy types) but he's all awkward and stuff and he ends up making perfume out of women. It sounds weird but it was really, really good. I'd definitely recommend it. And that's pretty much what I've been up to since all of my friends left. Luckily I only have about 2 weeks left before I head off to college and finally end this monotony. So just bear with me until then :-)

Later,
