Making Movies

I'm in a film class and it's awesome. There aren't any midterms or tests to study for, we just make movies. And since I love making movies, it's a perfect fit. Don't get me wrong, this is only Film 101 which is just the intro class, but still it's awesome. We don't get to use the really good cameras until Advanced Film, but we do have access to all of the editing software. Our first assignment was to make a short 2-3 minute piece on a place. It could be any place and basically we were supposed to capture the essence of the place with the camera and then cut it all together and add a soundtrack. I did mine on the building that houses our business school because it is notoriously evil. I spent the majority of last week shooting and cutting it all together but it was totally worth it because it's awesome. If I didn't have to remain anonymous I would post it on YouTube but I can't so you'll just have to imagine how great it is :-)

I took film classes two summers ago It was really, really good. It was very basic tough, I learned about introduction to films and cinema. It is very interesting stuff , I am really looking forward to continue that.

I am really glad to hear that you find your film class to be enjoyable. As a high school senior, I have finally decided on a college and I am going to major in film. Creating things is what I love, especially with the use of the camera. Film on!
