Season Finale

It's officially over!  My finals are over, my dorm room is empty and it's time to go home.  I am very relieved to be finished with my exams and I am definitely welcoming a break from classes, but I'm just not ready to leave college!  This has seriously been the most exciting time I have ever had.  I have made so many wonderful friends and experienced some great things.  My life is going to be so boring at home!  It was time to end, though, and now I can relax...

New Friends

I feel like I have made a few really good new friends lately-which I love--but it is really bad timing!  I wish I had known these people at the beginning of the year instead of now that we are all about to leave for the summer,  I guess this means that I will have to do a better job at keeping in touch during the break and make a huge effort to re-connect as soon as we get back.  I feel like thats going to be the hardest thing to to next year--reconnect with the people that I got to be really good friends with.  we're all going to be living in different places next year and I just think it's going to be a lot harder.  I know i will make new friends but I really don't want to lose the ones I have from this year!!  That is my New [school] Year's Resolution...keep in touch!

Definitely not Dead Week

At my school we have what is called "Dead Week" which is the week before final exams.  This means that teachers cannot assign any more graded projects or tests or homework because you are supposed to use the time to prepare for exams.  I have been in college for two semesters now, and I have discovered that Dead Week is anything but dead!  Since there are no tests or papers, this is the time that people decide to have final meetings and many officer elections take place.  And on top of all of the academic stress, this week is when all of the end of the year get-togethers happen!  I"ve had dinners with different groups of friends for the last time until we come back next year and many people have end of the year parties.  It's a lot to fit on one's calendar!  Somehow I'll manage though...

Nearing the End...

These last few weeks before school gets out are KILLING me!  Last week, I had a 12 page paper, a 5 page paper, and a math test all on the same day.  Who does that??  And even though I had worked ahead on all of them, of course the finishing touches took a lot longer than i expected and I had to pull two all-nighters....it was an awful week, needless to say.
