The Author: Collegiate Kate is an 18-year-old college freshman who graduated at the top of her class from a private high-school in 2009. In the fall of '09 she will be attending a medium-sized private university in a large Southern city. She will be majoring in her favorite subject, history, and will be in the Honors Program at the university. She looks forward to keeping up many of her high school activities, such as sports and playing the saxophone, but she's also excited to join new organizations and meet new people.
